Why We Stepped Into the Publishing Space—And Why It Matters
Writing and Publishing
In 2017, Dr. Esther J., Founder and CEO, began her publishing journey with challenges that revealed the gaps in service, cost, and integrity within the industry. Determined to offer a better experience, she self-published her second book, The Conversations On Her Pillow, after turning down a publishing deal that conflicted with her values. As requests for help poured in, she sought divine guidance and launched Inside & In Sight Publishing during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022. Within a year, she served over ten clients and grew a waitlist, expanding internationally across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and the Caribbean. Today, Inside & In Sight Publishing is more than a business—it’s a purpose-driven platform devoted to excellence, value, and helping people birth powerful stories that impact the world.

About Dr. Esther J.
Founder and Managing Director
Esther J. Thomas is an accomplished risk, compliance, governance, and business management professional with more than a decade of experience helping organizations strengthen operations, manage risk, enhance governance, and navigate complex regulatory environments. Her expertise spans enterprise risk management, AML/CFT/CPF/ABC compliance, internal audit, corporate governance, policy development, business optimization, and strategic advisory services.
As a Certified Chief Risk Officer (CCRO) and certified professional in Operations Risk Management, Leadership & Supervisory Management, and Anti-Money Laundering, Esther brings a strategic and multidisciplinary approach to organizational resilience and performance. She has extensive experience developing and implementing risk and compliance frameworks, conducting enterprise risk assessments and internal audits, strengthening internal controls, and providing actionable insights to executive leadership and Boards.
Beyond risk and compliance, Esther is an experienced business strategist, consultant, mentor, and coach. Through her consulting and professional services work, she advises financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized businesses on organizational effectiveness, operational performance, risk management, compliance, and sustainable growth. She is particularly passionate about helping leaders transform challenges into practical strategies, stronger systems, and measurable results.
Esther is also an advocate for professional development and knowledge-sharing. She has designed and delivered training in governance, compliance, risk management, and leadership for executives, management teams, and staff, and has empowered more than 100 aspiring authors and content creators through accelerated book-writing and business development workshops. Her approach combines analytical thinking with practical leadership, enabling individuals and organizations to move from ideas and intentions to meaningful execution.
Esther holds a BSc in Business Management, summa cum laude, from Monroe College, along with associate degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. She is a recipient of academic honors and professional certifications that reflect her commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and leadership. Through her work, Esther is committed to helping organizations and professionals build with intention, lead with confidence, manage risk intelligently, and create lasting value.
